DELTA 8

What is Delta 8?

Delta 8 THC is a mildly psychoactive cannabinoid found in cannabis and hemp. It is comparable to Delta 9 THC but approximately half the potency. Delta 8 delivers about half the psychoactive head-high effects as Delta 9, but it is packed with other components that impact our bodies in helpful ways. It is known to be anti-nausea, anti-anxiety, appetite-stimulating, pain-relieving, soothing and calming.

What is the recommended dose of Delta 8?

This varies depending on the person, the strength of the product, and the desired effects. When starting out the recommended dose of Delta 8 is 10mg - 25mg. If you need more, gradually increase the dose until you reach the target effect.

How long does it take to feel the effects?

When eaten, Delta 8 takes about 60-90 minutes to fully digest and enter the blood stream. For faster onset, suck on the gummy for at least 1 minute and it will enter the blood stream through the membranes in the mouth, with effects starting in 10-15 minutes.

How long do the effects last?

The effects of Delta 8 typically range from 3 to 8 hours. However, onset and duration can vary depending on metabolism, body size, and sensitivity to cannabinoids.

Are there any side-effects?

When Delta 8 in consumed in the right dose amount for the individual, the desired effects can be achieved with little to no side-effects.

If you do consume too much, it can result in side effects such as cottonmouth, dry eyes, weariness, dizziness, and poor concentration. In some users it can make you feel sick, agitated, or paranoid. If these symptoms occur, stay hydrated and rest until the effects wear off.

Is Delta 8 legal?

Delta 8 derived from hemp is federally legal in all but 3 states. This is because Delta 8 comes from the hemp plant, not the marijuana plant. Although Delta 8 THC sounds very similar to Delta 9 THC,  they possess legal differences. Delta 8 THC is federally legal in most states in the USA thanks to the 2018 Farm Bill. Since all of our products contain only Delta 8 made from 100% Hemp, Delta 8 is completely legal to  distribute and sell within the United States. Cannabis containing less than 0.3% Delta 9 THC is legally classified as Hemp and legal under federal law. THC itself is not federally illegal, only specifically Delta 9 THC.

What is the difference between Delta 8 and Delta 9?

The difference comes down to federal and state legality. Delta 8 THC is fully federally legal most states, while Delta 9 THC is federally illegal in most states. Both Delta 8 and Delta 9 produce euphoric “high” effects and carry a wide variety of medical and recreational benefits.

Chemically, the two share many properties and both interact with receptors in our brain and nervous system, and the endocannabinoid system.  Generally, Delta 8 is a milder version of Delta 9.

What does “Hemp-Derived THC” mean?

“Hemp-Derived THC” means that the THC comes from the hemp plant. Under the 2018 Farm Bill, which clarifies that “Hemp” is any cannabis plant containing less than 0.3% Delta 9 THC, Hemp is federally legal in most states.

Which states do not allow Hemp products?

Idaho, Utah, South Dakota

CBD AND OTHER CANNABINOIDS

What is CBD?

CBD is a non-psychoactive cannabinoid found in cannabis and hemp. CBD was first discovered for its effect in controlling seizures caused by epilepsy. CBD, or Cannabidiol, is being studied as a treatment for a wide range of conditions, including Parkinson's disease, schizophrenia, diabetes, multiple sclerosis and anxiety. It is most often used to reduce inflammation which is the primary cause of many types of pain.

What is CBN?

CBN act like a sedative. When THC components age, they break down and convert to a less potent cannabinoid called CBN. It’s about 25% as strong as THC. Unlike CBD, which is entirely non-psychoactive, CBN can produce mild psychoactive reactions and has sedative-like effects which make it helpful for sleep. CBN has not been studied or used as widely as CBD or THC, so there’s limited knowledge or research to date.

What is CBG?

CBG is a non-psychoactive cannabinoid found in cannabis and hemp. CBG has many potential therapeutic benefits, including antibacterial, antimicrobial, & anti-inflammatory qualities. CBG, or Cannabigerol, is sourced from hemp plants and is legal in most states and countries as it contains less than 0.3% THC.

MEDICAL INFORMATION

Pain Relief and Relaxation
The NIH conducted on online study of Delta 8 with 571 consumers. Most Delta-8-THC users experienced relaxation (71%); euphoria (68%) and pain relief (55%).
Nausea
People use Delta 8 and Delta 9 to help reduce nausea and vomiting following cancer drug treatments and chemotherapy. These cannabinoids are considered antiemetic at low doses, but has shown to be hyperemetic at high doses, which means they can cause vomiting in users that consume too much on a daily basis.
Anxiety and Stress Reduction
Delta 8 THC is often used for its anxiety-relieving qualities. Although research has been limited, the NIH conducted an online survey and most users use Delta 8 for primarily anxiety or panic attacks (69%), stress (52%), depression or bipolar disorder (46%). https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/34797727/
Loss of Appetite
Delta 8 can also help increase appetite according to research. Low dosages of Delta 8 caused increased food consumption and improved cognitive function, without side effects. Low dose Delta 8 THC might be a potential therapeutic treatment of weight disorders and loss of appetite. https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/15099912/
